Trent graduated from The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (W.A.A.P.A) in 1996 and has been performing ever since. In his graduating year he received the Nigel Rideout award for his work. He is also a 2011 fellow of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre , London.
One of the 12 actors who formed Red Stitch Actors Theatre, Trent has toured nationally with Bell Shakespeare, played the title role in MacBeth for MTC education and was seen on the main-stage at MTC in David Williamson’s, Scarlett O’Hara at the Crimson Parrot. In 2009 he co-produced and appeared in the part of ‘Edward’ in Frank McGuinness’ Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me at 45 Downstairs.
He has a keen interest in the works of Shakespeare having played leading roles in many productions, most recently playing Iago in an original practices production of Othello.
He has appeared in City Homicide, Tangle, Satisfaction, Neighbours, Blue Heelers, Round the Twist, On the Beach, Child Star, the feature films Dingo, Frank and Jerry, The Caretaker, When Darkness Falls and the Tropfest finalist film Beggars Belief.
In 2013 and 2014 he toured with the Hit Productions shows Its my party and I’ll die if I want to and David Williamson’s Managing Carmen.
